The Seascape Motor Inn is located on the bluff of North
Truro overlooking Provincetown and Cape Cod Bay. This is a spectacular vista,
accentuated by magnificent sunsets. We are in the quieter residential section,
but still within easy reach of the National Seashore beaches on the ocean side
and with a staircase to our beach on the bay.
The elevation of the seascape gives us the unique
opportunity to welcome hang gliders, paragliders, and flyers of R.C. planes.
Wind sports are special to the Seascape and participants come from all over the
East Coast to enjoy them. All of us, friends, neighbors, and competitors are
happy to share with our visitors the beauty and amenities of this corner of
Cape Cod.
After a day which might include bathing in the warm waters
of the bay, surfing the Atlantic, or walking the endless oceanside beaches,
fishing, golfing, whale watching, riding a bike or a dune buggy, we are happy
to come home to watch the sun set over Provincetown and 'Old Cape Cod'.
Provincetown is a major attraction for our guests. It boasts
many fine art galleries, an abundance of interesting shops and sophisticated
restaurants. It is also a major center for whale watching. The bike trails on
the National Seashore lands are particularly attractive and well-maintained.
The origins of Provincetown are Portuguese and the influence of this community
is still vibrant, culminating in a festival in late June.
Our other neighbor is Wellfleet, a charming resort catering
to summer visitors. Smaller than "P'town", Wellfleet is filled with art
galleries and restaurants and also hosts a Summer Playhouse near the harbor,
which in season is packed with boats of every size and shape.
